It’s so enchanting how the Law of attraction (LOA) can be used to improve all areas of your life. This power of attraction can work to shape your future career, achieve goals, improve happiness, live healthier, and love more (to name just a few). It’s like a magical magnet of sorts bringing what you long for most in life. Most people start their Law of Attraction journey for financial reasons, but having everything you desire isn’t worth much if you can’t enjoy it. That’s why improving your health is where everyone should start. For many people, health affirmations for weight loss and many other concerns are the missing link to unleashing a healthier and happier you all around because it fixes the often overlooked root cause of many health problems.
Our minds are incredibly powerful. There’s a lot more truth in the phrase “worrying yourself sick” than most people realize. It’s unfortunate that so many people look to gym memberships, supplements, and fad diets to fix their health problems, when none of that will have lasting results until they release buried emotions and reframe past experiences. This empowers health affirmations for weight loss (or any health issue) to effectively work. The affirmations demolish mental blocks (limiting beliefs) and construct an unwavering belief in the healthy happy you that is to come. These limiting beliefs and emotional baggage are often the overlooked root cause for many health issues that are plaguing people today.
Emotions are meant to be expressed. Think about the word ‘emotion’’ for a moment, it has ‘motion’ right in it… This means your feelings need to move! When you push negative emotions down and lock them inside they can fester and make you sick and even cause you to pack on the pounds. Many times these emotions stem from past experiences we had as a child or teen, some of which we can’t easily recollect. Through mindfulness, meditation, and seeking professional help (when needed) these experiences can resurface and give you the opportunity to fully release the trapped emotions. You can then reframe the past experience into an empowering memory for improved health.
For example, let’s say Suzy was teased in school. She tried not to let it bother her by pushing all the feelings of insecurity, sadness, and frustration deep down and locking them away. One way that Suzy’s body “protected” herself from the daily teasings was by storing fat. Subconsciously she triggered a defense mechanism that caused her body to store fat to help shield her from the hurtful words. Even many years after, her body was still in full defense mode. She tried everything to get to an ideal weight, but crazy workouts and fad diets only created a frustrating yo-yo effect. She wasn’t able to lose the weight for good until she told her body that the danger was gone. To do this she had to release the bottled-up emotions, reframe her past experiences into empowering memories, and use affirmations for successful, long-term weight loss .
Through mindfulness exercises Suzy was able to revisit these past experiences. As she relived the torments of her youth, she allowed herself to feel the emotions and release them for good. This wasn’t easy for her. It took patience, practice, and a willingness to forgive before she was able to release all her negative feelings. But when she was able to, it was as if a great weight had been lifted off her shoulders (a feeling that was truly electric). She was then able to reframe the past experiences for her benefit. She did this by revisiting those memories and choosing to remember them differently this time. Instead of the bullies saying mean things to Suzy, she now visualized them complimenting her. As she did this, her body turned off its fat storing defenses. She was now ready for the power of health affirmations for weight loss to take full effect and tear down any lingering limiting beliefs she may still have had. As if by magic the weight fell off of Suzy because she allowed her body to let go of it.
Speaking of limiting beliefs, ask yourself, “Do I believe that I can have incredible health and the body of my dreams?” … If you hesitated or had a hard time saying “Yes, I believe!” then you probably have limiting beliefs that are blocking the power of the Law of Attraction to work for you. These mental blocks make it difficult for you to believe that you can improve your health and physique. Affirmations play a key role in rewiring your beliefs so that you know without a doubt that the health and body of your dreams is just around the corner! It really is just around the corner, and it all starts with visualization, achieving goals, and affirmations.
Visualizing exactly how you want your health to be in the future gives you the head start you need to set the right health goals and leverage the perfect affirmations to help you achieve them. If you say something like "I want to be skinnier," that’s ok, but there is power in being specific… Think about how you will reach that goal. Something that helps me is to take a quiet moment to visualize me visiting my future self in perfect health and physique. As I walk up to my future self (the one with the perfect body) they begin to thank me for everything I did to help myself get there. We then embrace and give words of encouragement before coming back to reality. I write down everything I told myself and set my dream health goals and affirmations around the guidance I gave myself.
Once you have a specific goal in mind, these are the 4 steps to have success with it: Plan, Do, Check & Adjust. Use these to achieve your health goals and then leverage affirmations and the Law of Attraction to get results far greater than you could ever get on your own.
These dream health goals should have a well-thought plan to push you and give you a clear vision of exactly what you need to do to have success. A good example would be something similar to, "In order to lose 20 pounds, I am going to cut all soda and fast food out of my life and make sure I am active and moving my body for at least 30 minutes four times per week." Be realistic with yourself. You don't want to say you will exercise every single day, committing to things that may not blend with your schedule. Make a plan as best you can in the moment and start doing it.
Take action on your plan. As you begin, things won't always go as planned. That’s normal and should be expected. Keep doing. Keep taking action. It’s easy to say but harder to do… Remember that you can never turn a car around unless it’s moving, but sadly the main reason we don’t achieve our dreams is because we stop taking action… We take our foot off the gas pedal. Why do we stop? Because we allow life to knock us off our dream path and, for one reason or another, we stay off.
Consider a past New Year's resolution. It was probably clearly thought out with a specific goal in mind, but life threw a curve ball and before you knew it the year was about to end. This pattern of setting goals and dropping them will keep happening unless you decide to not let life keep you down. So when life knocks you off your path think of this quote by George S. Patton, “Success is measured by how high you bounce when you hit bottom.” Read it again. When we fall we can actually bounce back higher and better than we were before if we decide to keep doing. As you do, you will now be able to finetune your plan by checking and adjusting it along the way.
Inspiration: Problems and challenges are part of the process. To stay motivated and help you not get discouraged, think of these problems as opportunities. To paraphrase Les Brown...
“Life’s greatest opportunities are brilliantly disguised as problems and challenges.”
As you keep doing, you will need to check in with yourself once or twice a week to ask yourself:
The answers to these questions will help you refine your plan and guide you to the best affirmations. Maybe you find that you easily get distracted and frequently forget to exercise. You might adjust by better scheduling the time into your life, putting it on your calendar, and setting reminders on your phone. If you find that you are consistently not reaching your weekly goals, then consider modifying your goal to the simplest, easiest form until goal getting becomes a habit.
For example, maybe you want to go walking in the mornings, but you often sleep in or don’t feel up to it. In this case you could simplify your goal to putting on your walking shoes and stepping outside the door (no walking required). Once you step outside the door with your walking shoes on you have achieved your daily goal. Good for you! It may seem like a small thing, but you are proving to yourself that you can be disciplined. Reaching this small goal is changing you from the inside out, and you know what…? At times you’ll probably feel like walking when you step out that door. Once you have that goal down you can add to it… maybe by taking a minimum number of steps once you step outside. There are lots of things you can adjust, and it’s totally fine to adjust the goals when needed.
As you plan, do, check, and adjust over and over, your goals will be perfectly dialed in to achieving the body and health of your dreams. You can supercharge your motivation and success by leveraging affirmations and the Law of Attraction.
Take time every day to visualize your dream as if it is your reality. Use your awesome sauce vision board to help you. As you think about your health, close your eyes and truly visualize what you want your perfect health and body to be like. If you had a hard time visualizing your perfect future self in the earlier exercise, then think about your life as a movie, which actor would you like to play you? What does this person do to stay active and be healthy? In any case, you want to visualize yourself in first person with that perfect health as if it’s already here, effortlessly doing all the things necessary to have it.
You are now ready to use health affirmations to their full potential for weight loss or whatever your health goal may be. Let's go!
The most powerful affirmations for better health are incredibly personal. The best ones will focus on tearing down your limiting beliefs and building unshakable confidence. They are a key ingredient to help our dreams blend with and ultimately become our reality. Here are some health affirmations to get you thinking that I feel would truly benefit you!
Don’t try to use them all at once. It works best to have 1-3 affirmations you are working with at a time, so it’s key that you choose the right one(s). Let’s say you have trouble controlling your portions at meals… You might use an affirmation like, “I stop eating when I am full and love to leave food on my plate because there is an abundance of everything in my life.” Make it empowering and be sure to craft your affirmation in the here and now.
To find the best affirmations for you, it helps to know a broad range of healthy activities you could use and have an affirmation brainstorming session. Usually these are things you could personally do to help make your ideal health a reality. Let's have a look at some options you might consider.
As you brainstorm ideas for powerful health affirmations for healing, weight loss, or improved energy, they will likely circle around physical health (food and fitness). However, you should also consider other areas of health that are just as important: Social, Emotional, Occupational, Spiritual, Financial, Environmental, and Intellectual health. If you are living in a toxic environment then start with goals and affirmations to improve your living arrangements before focusing on diet or exercise. Once you’re ready to tackle your physical health here are some food and fitness ideas to consider for crafting your optimal health affirmations.
Remember, "You are what you eat." Have you seen the documentary ‘Super Size Me?’ In it, you get to see what might happen if you were to eat McDonald's every day. Two words: Not good. Our body is a direct reflection of what we put into it. Sure, it may taste delicious, but how does it make your body feel? Remember those feelings because they will help you say no to junk food temptations and make healthier choices in the future. There are superfoods like kale and blueberries that have incredible nutrients and antioxidants that make your body feel absolutely amazing! Give them a try. They are exactly the kind of food your body is craving and can taste fantastic too.
Exercise is a major part of your health and lifestyle. Beyond going to the gym and lifting weights, there are many other ways to bring exercise into your life (many are free). Try lots of different things to find what truly resonates with you that you enjoy. I know… Exercise and enjoy don’t usually go in the same sentence, but they totally can! Here are some ideas worth trying out:
Get Fit Tip: Don’t try to do too much too fast, otherwise you’ll be sore for days. Do something that fits your current fitness level and add on as you get stronger.
Keep in mind that slimming down doesn't mean you will feel and be healthier. There are plenty of sickly skinny people. So your focus should be on increasing your energy and becoming healthier in mind and body. (weight loss tends to happen as a result). To have the body of your dreams you must heal yourself from the inside out. It takes time and effort to clear limiting beliefs, envision your ultimate dream body, and use health affirmations to give you the confidence and motivation to put your plan into action. The effort is worth it, and the Law of Attraction will work to inspire you to what will best help you reach your health goals and dreams. It could be an accountability partner, finding exercises you enjoy, stumbling upon research that helps you heal from chronic disease, or something else… the possibilities are endless. Without the Law of Attraction in your corner it could take years, or you may never find it at all. Use personalized affirmations for weight loss or any other health concern you have to get LOA working for you. It can pull the results into your life as if you were a magnet attracting it directly to you. Keep believing and never losing sight of your goals and sooner or later the law of attraction will send that boomerang of amazing hopes, dreams, and better health to you.
