The basic concept behind the Law of Attraction (LOA) is simple—you can attract whatever you desire by concentrating on it. Despite this uncomplicated approach, it takes effort, practice, intention, and belief to successfully use the LOA. These five, simple Law of Attraction tips go a long way to get it working for you.
Practicing the LOA means focusing on what you desire. Don’t waste your valuable energy trying to wish away things you don’t want or need. With the LOA, we attract what we focus on. In this way, our powerful minds attract abundance.
But when you concentrate on something with a negative connotation (like focusing on all the things wrong with your life), you attract negativity. Your subconscious mind only interprets the thing you’re concentrating on, not the words that indicate you don’t want it.
For example, you have a friend or family member who’s wealthy, successful, and happily partnered. To you, their life always looks much better than yours. You’re envious and wish your life were that successful. You can manifest a life as desirable as theirs, but only if you focus on what you want.
DON’T: Don’t ask for your jealousy to go away. Don’t concentrate on how much better their life is. Don’t wish that you were better at picking a partner.
These are all negative patterns, and the focus is on scarcity, instead of abundance. Instead, you can invite richness and joy by concentrating on the positive aspects.
DO: Express gratitude for the joy and success your friend or family member has. You care about this person and their happiness makes you happy, as well. Embrace affirmations that acknowledge you are a good person, a kind person, and a loving person. Affirm and believe that YOU are a wonderful partner, and someone remarkable can and will come into your life and love you. Ask for abundance and wealth because you deserve it.
Concentrate on the positive side of what you yearn for, how you want to behave, and how you hope to represent yourself. This helps you manifest the things you desire.
With that approach in mind, it’s also time to eliminate complaining from your life. Complaints are just another way to state what we do not like or want. Resolve to stop complaining and put that plan into action.
TIP: Complaining is often a habit with a trigger. Pay attention to what triggers you to complain. Once you understand your triggers you can better replace complaining with one or more of suggestions 5-7 below.
Tap into the unlimited power of your subconscious mind with precise affirmations. This is another part of concentrating on the positive instead of asking to be rid of negatives. When you create your affirmations, ensure you are delivering the right message to your subconscious mind.
Create specific, clear, and precise affirmations that reflect what you want to manifest.
DON’T: I don’t want to be broke anymore. I want my boss to stop passing me up for the promotion I deserve. I want to stop fighting with my husband.
DO: Money flows to me freely and there is always enough of it in my life. I am an excellent employee, and my boss recognizes my worth. I am in a fulfilling relationship with respectful communication.
You can also try beginning your affirmation with positive statements that reveal who you are, what you can accomplish, and changes that can impact your life for the better.
I am: Who I am
I can: My potential
I will: Positive life changes
Add words like “effortlessly” or “easily” to your affirmation for more power: I can effortlessly reach any goals I set my mind to.
State and think your affirmations with feeling, purpose, and attention. Allow the positive feelings to wash over your body as you take several deep belly breaths.
Attracting what you want is only part of the LOA. You must also be receptive to the things you are manifesting. Unfortunately, many of us have been programmed to doubt ourselves and to question our abilities. This can make it difficult, if not impossible to truly receive what the Law of Attraction sends our way. The following steps and exercises will help you overcome those pesky doubts.
Step one is to believe you are worthy of receiving all the things you desire. Step two is to be actively open to receiving them. You may need to overcome your ingrained feelings of low self-esteem or the belief that you’re undeserving.
One exercise you can try is receiving compliments graciously with no self-effacement. Smile and say, “Thank you.” Don’t add anything or minimize the compliment. It may be awkward for you, initially. But you will soon feel comfortable receiving compliments and feeling genuinely deserving of them.
Affirmations and meditation are also excellent LOA tools that can help you conquer those self-defeating attitudes. You ARE deserving. You ARE perfect as you are.
Habits are actions, behaviors, and routines that have become so ingrained in your life that they’re practically involuntary. Embracing the Law of Attraction tips, and incorporating the principles into every facet of your life will become much easier once you adopt positive, productive habits.
Repetition is a powerful tool. Leaders, educators, public speakers, politicians, marketers, and many others use repetition to accomplish their goals. That’s because it works.
Look at some of the many ways we use repetition:
TIP: Visualizing your self repeating is just as powerful as actually repeating the task or exercise physically. As you mentally visualize, see and feel everything in vivid detail for the best results/
To use the LOA, plant desirable, positive ideas and beliefs in your subconscious mind. Feed and sustain them with repetition. Belief grows. You are now manifesting all that you desire with the power of your subconscious mind.
These five tips will do wonders for jumpstarting the Law of Attraction in your life. Follow your gut on where you should start on your journey and take it one step at a time. Don’t worry if you’re new to the Law of Attraction. It’s never too late to create the reality you desire and unlock the Secrets to the Law of Attraction.
